PixelGuardTerms of Service
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Service
PixelGuard relays your Shopify checkout conversion events to the ad platforms you connect and monitors for delivery gaps. Features are available during your free trial and thereafter on an active paid plan.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the destination credentials you provide and for your own compliance with each ad platform's policies.
- You are responsible for obtaining the shopper consent required in your jurisdiction. PixelGuard only forwards personal data when consent is present, but configuring consent correctly is your responsibility.
Data processing
When you use PixelGuard, you are the data controller for your customers' personal data and PixelGuard acts as your data processor. By installing the app you agree to the following data-processing terms, which form part of these Terms.
- Scope & purpose: we process customer data solely to relay conversion events to the ad platforms you connect (e.g. Meta) and to monitor delivery. We process only on your documented instructions (your configuration of the app).
- Data processed: order value/currency/items, non-identifying match signals (cookies, IP, user agent), and — only when the shopper has granted marketing consent — customer email, phone, name, and city/zip/country. Personal identifiers are hashed (SHA-256) on receipt and the raw values are never stored.
- Sub-processors: the ad platforms you connect, our infrastructure host, and our email provider. We remain responsible for our sub-processors' compliance.
- Security: data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and destination credentials are encrypted at rest. Raw personal identifiers are not retained.
- Retention & deletion: event payloads are purged on a rolling 90-day basis. We honor Shopify's GDPR webhooks (
customers/redact, customers/data_request, shop/redact); uninstalling the app removes your shop's data. - Assistance: we assist you in responding to data-subject requests and will notify you without undue delay of any personal-data breach affecting your customers.
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly ($19) or annually ($200) through Shopify after a 14-day free trial. You can cancel at any time from the app; charges already incurred are non-refundable except where required by law.
Disclaimer
PixelGuard is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee any specific attribution, ad-platform, or revenue outcome. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior three months.
